Angelina Jolie - News And Biography

Angelina Jolie has made a name for herself as one of Hollywood’s most unpredictable and most mysterious ladies of all time.  There is something truly captivating about Angelina.  She has a Viking sensibility, an eerie and unsettling source of confidence that comes from within her soul.  She has been linked with some of Hollywood’s leading men, including quite a few loners and rebels.  She is currently in a long-term relationship with Brad Pitt though in the past she has been married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.  She was even romantically linked with female co-star Jenny Shimizu for a time.

It may be no coincidence that Angelina usually gets romantically involved with her co-stars because she is truly a method actor, just like her father Jon Voight, and just like the best actors of Hollywood past, like Streep, Deniro and Brando.  Her first film was in 1982, starring along with father Jon in Lookin to Get Out.  It would be over ten years later that she was finally get noticed in 1995’s Hackers.  She also started to pick up critical acclaim starring in cable movies like George Wallace and Gia. 

Her career really picked up after playing second fiddle to Winona Ryder in Girl, Interrupted and stealing the show by performing as psychopath Lisa.  Her first blockbuster film was video game heroine Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.  Despite being a mom now (with biological and adopted children) Angelina still finds time to do quirky projects, such as lending her voice to the animated film Kung Fu Panda.

What truly makes Angelina Jolie special is not just her sex appeal, and not just her mysterious depth of character, but also her humanitarian efforts.  She is a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency and still continues to promote humanitarian causes throughout the world, particularly through the UNHCR organization.
