Paris Hilton - News And Biography

Paris Hilton has been known for her fashion and style sense since she began her modeling career at age 19 under Donald Trump’s T Management modeling company.  The American socialite is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of the famous hotel chain. 

Despite the amount of negative news attention, the American socialite, model, singer and fashion designer receives, she is highly regarded in the fashion industry and definitely has style.  At least the advertising communities for Tommy Hilfiger, GUESS, Christian Dior and Marciano think so.  She is definitely New York’s It Girl.

In the fashion world, Hilton has collaborated on a variety of clothing, jewelry and fragrance lines.  The Paris Hilton Collection is a jewelry line that she created for Amazon.com.  The collection features all types of accessories Paris is well-known for from naval rings to belly chains, and the typical bangles, bracelets, anklets and necklaces in between, there’s something for everyone.  Plus, these accessories are encrusted with Swarovski crystals in shades of pink and light blue – perfect for any heiress or self-acclaimed princess. 

In August 2007, Hilton signed a licensing agreement for the Paris Hilton Footware line with Antebi.  The lines features stilettos, wedges, platforms, flats and a sports collection.
In addition to her own line of clothing, she has also launched a line of dresses, tops, jeans and coat at the Kitson Boutique in Los Angeles.

Having seventeen dogs, Paris is an animal lover and has also created a line of dog clothing specifically for her little furry friends.  Often seen carrying her Chihuahua as an accessory (or so many claim – she really just loves her dogs), Paris is known for dawning her pets in accessories and clothes of their own.  Her dogwear features dresses, coats and other “human” types of clothes.

There are two versions of Hilton’s biography.  One version is her tongue-in-cheek version that she published in 2004.  The book, entitled Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose” was co-written by Merle Ginsberg and features all of her advice on being an heiress (including full color photos). 

The real life version is that she was born in New York City and is the oldest of four children to Richard and Kathy Hilton.  Her sister, Nicky, is often seen with her at celebrity events.  Hilton grew up in Beverly Hills and is good friends with Nicole Richie and Kim Kardashian, both of which are of Hollywood celebrity descent.
