Scarlett Johansson Music Video
We all recognize Scarlett Johansson from her angelic voice and her tempting appearance. We fell in love with her innocence back in The Horse Whisperer and developed a naughty crush on her in Lost in Translation. Then she started appearing in movies like Match Point and The Black Dahlia and we were flabbergasted—our little girl had grown up and become one of Hollywood’s leading ladies. Publications like Maxim and Playboy declared Scarlett the sex symbol of the modern age. There’s little to dislike about Scarlett—she’s classy without being arrogant and coy without coming off too desperate.
This just makes us wonder, if Scarlett is so talented at acting and of course, fitting into a dress, then how accomplished a singer has she become? Scarlett Johansson, the lovely actress that made heads turn in Lost in Translation and Match Point has experimented with a music career. Back in 2005 she was considered for an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, and in the years following she did some music jobs here and there, including “Summertime” for Unexpected Dreams – Songs from the Stars as well as the Jesus And Mary Chain Reunion Show. She also appeared in Justin Timberlake's music video for “What Goes Around Comes Around.”
She released her first music album in 2008, and it included one original song and ten cover songs of songs by Tom Waits. Johansson later said, “His melodies are so beautiful, his voice is so distinct and I had my own way of doing Tom Waits songs.” The record song for the album was “Anywhere I Lay My Head” and it received mixed reviews, with some critics comparing her to slightly below Ann Wilson quality and others actually proclaiming her album one of the best of 2008. Word has it that Johansson will follow up her first music album when the time is right. Bravo!
Elsewhere, Johansson is looking to the future, including her covering the song “Last Goodbye” for the movie (which she is also starring in) He’s Just Not That Into You. You know, the one that goes “I’ll only make you cry, this is our last goodbye.” Johansson has also ventured into music video. The most popular Scarlett Johansson music video you can find online is called “Falling Down.” This is a cover song of Tom Waits and it has Dave Bowie doing the vocals. It was released in May of 2008.
