Lakisha Jones
The 27 y/o American Idol auditioned at NYC, she sang Aretha Franklin’s song ’Think’ which later took her to the top 24 of "American Idol". Later on she made it to the top 12 but was eliminated on May 9, 2007 as she acquired the 4th place in the competition. Borne in Michigan 1980, Lakisha was raised by her mother Beverly Jefferson and her maternal grandmother, she started singing at the age of 5 in a Baptist Church choir, and although she has training in classical music she prefers gospel music.
